Grace Home Foundation is a non-profit (501C3), all volunteer organization based in Birmingham, Alabama. The Foundation was formed after a small group of individuals traveled to Nepal for a hiking tour, and met with Da. Thulung, a local tour guide and founder of Grace Home Orphanage. D.R. told them about his work with Grace Home as they hiked and they soon realized that he and the children of Grace Home really needed their help. Upon return to the US they began their effort of helping and Grace Home Foundation was formed.
The board of directors manages all activities and 100% of donations help kids in need locally and nationally. The children at Grace Home Orphanage in Nepal range in age from 8 to 15. The needs of these children — food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care — are supplied by a staff of three. The annual budget for Grace Home is $14,000. That means it costs just over $3 per day per child to assure the children are safe, educated and off the streets.
The dream of Grace Home Foundation is to build a facility that will safely and comfortably house the current and future residents of Grace Home Orphanage, a facility that will meet the needs of enough warm beds, a safe play area and perhaps even a plot of land to grow fresh vegetables on site.
